On May 10, a rally of electric and hybrid cars was held with the support of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, the Regional Development Public Union and the Azerbaijan Automobile Dealers Association.

The purpose of the rally, held in honor of the 99th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was to promote and contribute to the renewal of the country's car fleet, improve road safety and create a healthier environment.

Notably, the provisions of the National Program for Road Safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023 approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 27, 2018 provide for the promotion and encouragement of the use of environmentally friendly vehicles and the vehicles with high post-accident safety.

The car rally, which started in front of the "Motor House" technical service center traveled through the Baku-Kurdamir-Goychay-Mingachevir route. In Goychay and Mingachevir cities, the participants of the rally were welcomed by the representatives of the city executive power, volunteers of the Regional Development Public Union, and city residents.
