Baku is preparing to host the meetings of General Assemblies of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for the first time from December 5 to 8, as well as the FIA Prize-Giving Ceremony, a highly anticipated event in the world of motor sports.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the FIA General Assembly, Baku will also host the meetings of the General Assembly of the FIA Foundation and the the Alliance of International Tourism (AIT), which represent the interests of automobile clubs.

On December 8, the closing session of the FIA General Assembly will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, and the FIA Prize-giving Ceremony will be held at the Baku Congress Center.

The decision to hold this prestigious event in our capital was taken during the FIA General Assembly meeting in Bologna, Italy, last December. Azerbaijan was one of the countries competing for the opportunity to host this global motorsport event, and its candidacy was approved following the voting process.

During the meetings of the FIA General Assembly and the prize-giving ceremony, automobile organizations from different countries around the world and prominent figures in motorsport will meet in our country.

The General Assembly, which is convened annually or on an extraordinary basis, is the supreme decision-making body of the FIA and is composed of motor sport federations (clubs) representing member organizations of the International Automobile Federation and clubs involved in mobility services. This event is held every year in different countries to discuss various issues related to motorsports and the industry.

The FIA Prize-Giving Ceremony is considered one of the most prestigious events in motorsports. Established in 2011, this annual ceremony takes place following the conclusion of the FIA General Assembly and presents awards in various categories of motorsports.

Previous FIA Prize-Giving Ceremonies have been held in Monaco, New Delhi, Istanbul, Paris, Doha, Vienna, St. Petersburg, Geneva, and Bologna. The prize-giving ceremony in Baku also promises unforgettable and spectacular moments.
