On June 24, 2021, the employee of the Federation Mammadov Sakhavat Abil, who was driving a truck belonging to the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation was attacked in Narimanov district by unknown persons who were traveling in another vehicle.

While the Federation truck was traveling near the January 20 traffic circle, an argument broke out with the occupants of another vehicle. Later, the people in the other vehicle pursued the truck to Ashig Molla Juma Street in Narimanov district, unlawfully halted it, forced Sakhavat Mammadov out of the vehicle, assaulted him and another Federation employee who was his passenger, and inflicted severe blows on them. Sakhavat Mammadov was killed in the process. The three attackers left the car they were in and escaped. Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Sakhavat Mammadov was married and a father of two young children. He had worked for the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation since 2014. Sakhavat Mammadov, who earned the respect of the team through his professionalism, hard work, kindness, and modesty was one of the exemplary employees of the Federation.
