At the General Assembly meeting and Prize Giving Ceremony of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) held in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, the “Classic Cars Exhibition” of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF) was announced as the inaugural winner of the FIA Founding Members’ Club Heritage Promotion Cup. The award was accepted by Fargan Novruzov, the First Deputy Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Presented as part of the FIA’s 120th anniversary celebrations, this award recognizes organizations and individuals who make significant contributions to the promotion of automotive heritage and actively participate in raising public awareness about the history of automobiles.
The award, planned to be presented annually, is an essential part of the FIA's comprehensive efforts to preserve automotive heritage and pass it on to future generations.
The AAF’s “Classic Cars Exhibition” was honored with this award for its outstanding contributions to the development of automotive heritage, its educational initiatives, and its creation of an inclusive environment for the public to learn about automotive history. The collection, which has been exhibited at the Heydar Aliyev Center for 10 years, has drawn significant interest from classic car enthusiasts and the wider public.
