Baku hosted the Opening Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The awards were presented by Eldar Azizov - the Head of the Baku City Executive Power, Farid Gayibov - Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, Anar Alakbarov - the President of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF), Mohammed Ben Sulayem - the President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), and Hendrik Du Preez - the Vice President of the Qatar Airways Africa.
McLaren’s Oscar Piastri became the champion of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished second, while Mercedes’ George Russell finished third.
